This year, we are excited to announce the first ever New Mexico AVS Image competition! Scientists, postdoctoral fellows, graduate Students, and undergraduate researchers are all encouraged to submit a photo of your work to potentially be put on display at the next AVS symposium: Exploring the Landscape of Surface and Interface Science.
A committee will choose 10 photos to print out for display next to the poster session and prizes will be awarded to the best images.
The image can be a picture of a process, a fabrication tool, a modeling method, or a material made with an AVS related synthetic or fabrication process. The images can also be edited to add false coloring or enhanced to make the image more appealing. Please ensure that your files are high enough resolution as the best10 images will be printed out at 16 X 20 inches. Please submit your photo as a PNG or JPEG.
A short blurb describing the material (or process) should be included with the photo. This can include how the material was made as well as the tool or fabrication tool used (e.g., Scanning electron microscope, photolithography tool, cleanroom, etc.). If the image has been published, please include the citation.
